  1. A mandate for the entire populace to participate to some degree in worthwhile projects that aid the entire society might not be a bad thing. But in our current society where so many people do not have this spare time precisely because the society is so regressive, I can't see it being possible. Even if it wasn't an empty nonsense posture.

  3. It's the natural consequence of the neoliberal ideology which has proven entirely bankrupt in plain view since 2008. Any politicians talking neoliberal talking points are the enemy of the change that needs to happen and will probably help to push power to deeply reactionary dangerous figures.
