  1. Its because of good government. After WW2 they adopted the British model of democracy so their is no corruption and that ensures that everything is done properly and for the benefit of the people. Contrast that with less democratic countries like the USA where everything to for the benefit of the greedy that run the corporations. Russia has the same problem too.
