Yea. He's a pretty chill gentleman.
1
+iheart socks It all starts with The Satanic Bible and determining whether or not you see yourself identified within its pages.
1
Hill, come on. Even when people are just trying to be funny?
1
+Dwight Vader What?
1
Smeg Wilson Nothing wrong with doing that either. It's just the preference of a dark ritual occultish setting. If you wanted to see one I would check out our beautifully timed 6-6-06 High Mass.
1
Smeg Wilson Just making it concrete that LaVeyan Satanists do not believe in a deity of any sort nor any aspect of the supernatural. Mankind has always been interested in the occult and dark aesthetics. We see nothing wrong with enticing and indulging in those aspects created by mankind, especially when it could be used for your own self benefit. We use ritual as a form of theatrical psycho-drama and to relieve yourself of pent up feelings and emotions that might influence you and harm others when unwanted or to gain the focus needed to obtain a desire. While performing ritual it is mainly meant to achieve a heightened sense of your self and your reality and grant the focus within yourself to get something to go in accordance of your will. We use the representations of all the gods that have been recorded over human history. We see them as fictional and man-made, but that does not render their representations void and useful for a purpose. We choose the ones that would hold a relevant representation to a working you would like to perform. Lust, destruction, and compassion are the main rituals we perform. The various occult practices we perform are not involved with the supernatural, rather the theatrical. Satanism is the only ideology that admits it's occult practices are theater.
1
+Smeg Wilson By "all this", you mean our ritual practices? If my question was on point I will elaborate.
1
+Jaylen Milhouse We see ourselves reflected by the Atheistic philosophy which is under the representation and symbolism of Satan. We see Satan as "the adversary" and father of sin. Sin is seen as a good thing as they encourage you to indulge in your desires and give you physical, mental, or emotional gratification.
1
***** I never said it was needed.
1
Nicoarã ø Marcel Sure. Atheists lack faith in a deity or in some definitions including aspects of the supernatural. Our ritual doesn't involve a deity and doesn't involve the supernatural. Only theater and the mind. It is a form of psychodrama and negative emotion relief. In can be used outwardly as well to make an influence on others to go in accordance to your will. No deity is involved, we lack faith in one. We're Atheistic.
1
+Cory B Well, LaVeyan Satanism is Atheistic. We lack faith in all deities.
1
PRHILL9696 But it's Atheism? There are several definitions of it that usually just state lack of belief in a deity but there are others that also specify the supernatural as well. I'm going to search for those magazines. Is there a bunch?
1
PRHILL9696 TSB degrades that shit like the book never ends?
1
+PRHILL9696 I've confronted you about this before but you never responded. It is not superstition we don't believe in any form of the supernatural. Ritual is not a fundamental aspect of LaVeyan Satanism, it is a tool you have the choice of using. Mankind has always been interested in dark aesthetics and the occult but it was outlandish. We see nothing wrong with indulging in such things, especially when it could lead to your own self betterment.
1
+3DGansta What do you find disagreeable?
1
Ray Van Link Oh I know you viewpoint very well, I used to have it. No research is needed for me. No thanks. It contains about an extra gallon of ridiculous for me to like it. Other religions considers characters like Satan to be evil, yet their own God they follow happens to be of Satan in your religion. Contradictions everywhere and I'll have no part of it.
1
Israel P Roman I don't know. I live in Oklahoma City.
1
Homemade Bridge Lol. They really do have kind of a Satanic aspect with the focus on self empowerment but they're more focused on the force which is basically the aspect of the spiritual. The Sith are Luciferians.
1
+Homemade Bridge Since the Sith focus on the force and not their own carnality, I would argue that the Sith seem more like Luciferians.
1
+Lambder I like them too. Not every philosophy or religion gets to wear cool fuckin robes as part of the practice. Man has always been interested in the dark and occult, so we try to entice and satiate those feelings with ritual while using them to better ourselves in the process with admitted theatrical psychodrama.
1
PRHILL9696 Yep. I always do. I can't simplify things often. Most people can't get basic information through their heads.
1
john silcox Yeah...not a religion. A religion aims to answer the questions of the origin and meaning of life and the universe. We don't direct these things at all. It's left up to science with the observation of the things around us.
1
+john silcox Why are you stating this here? We aren't a religion?
1
Definitely. However, that sentence just sucks the meaning out of everything -_-
1
Have you ever read The Satanic Bible? Why would the book that outlines and defines Anton LaVey's philosophy according to Anton LaVey, not outline and define the philosophy LaVeyan Satanism? I plainly lack faith in a deity. This makes us Atheists. We follow the character Satan's example, the character was his own God. We are our own Gods. This makes us Satanists. When people hear of the philosophy, they are pointed to The Satanic Bible. What I saw was what I got. I've gone to be a second degree member of the Church of Satan for relaying my knowledge of the philosophy to them. What others see is what they get.
1
What does Charles Manson have to do with anything? That was a long time ago. Was he brought up in the video or something? The Church of Satan does not take a stance on his case. The Church of Satan does not encourage murder or anything that breaks the law. #10 of the Eleven Satanic Rules of the Earth "Do not Kill another being unless attacked or for food". We don't believe in Satan, we don't believe in souls. Oh fuck off with that "wake up" shit. Every religion tells everybody in every other religion this. It's bullshit. The Bible already tells how evil Satan is. He can't hold a candle to God's horrible actions.
1
No. That doesn't make sense. There is no literal deity associated with Satanism. Just the representation of one.
1
Nate Craig That word is the utmost blasphemy against God. In case you didn't know...
1
Nate Craig Cool. Shemhamforash!
1
Nate Craig I don't know what organization this is. I'm a second degree member of the Church of Satan.
1
Nate Craig I've replied to others on this video who said they heard those names. We use many gods in our rituals and we determine the ones with relevant representations to the ritual you are performing.
1
+Nate Craig If you're a LaVeyan Satanist you should know that we see all gods as man made and fictional. However that does not render their representations void and unusable.
1
+FiDDY Many people share our views. You may concretely consider yourself a Satanist if you identify with the symbol of Satan.
1
+Delayne Fino All God ever talks about is fucking us over. I don't want to worship anyone that would do that in the blink of an eye because of something he didn't like. He can't handle not being the absolute fucking center of your attention.
1
Theatrical psychodrama. Direction of raw emotion or ridding yourself of negative ones.
1
fizzyjizzz Replace Satan with the word Hell and I agree. Satan is the opposition, Hell is the punishment.
1
fizzyjizzz I agree. But that's not a reason why. I'm going by the story and religious history, not reality.
1
fizzyjizzz That doesn't answer his question...
1
One of the great unanswered questions you're asking there. Satan was not always a great evil trapped in the pit of Hell. He used to be an angel, Lucifer the "light bringer". Supposedly the most beautiful one. Then he rebelled. He took action and attempted to grasp the highest point available. He tried to be the greatest. God struck him down. I find it admirable that he at least tried to go against the most powerful being in the universe. He became Satan the adversary. God is said to be everywhere and all knowing and all powerful. Yet he created Satan who he would know to rebel against him and turn his creation away from the skies. The only view I could give you that would provide a reasonable answer would be that he allowed it all to happen so that he could test humanities faith in him. Sort of like Satan's role in Judaism, he remains as God's angel and he is to test humanities faith in God. It still isn't a strong view though. It has holes. What's the reason for God allowing things out of his favor? He could make the people his zombies and control their will if the individual changed his/her faith. It might be that god limited his power with a set morality.
1
+Airgun Bubba Maybe I should clarify "of God's will" because you're over thinking it.
1
+Obey Rostipher You can't argue against Christians that you aren't evil. Anything that isn't "of God" is evil. But, "Evil spelled backwards is live."- Anton LaVey
1
+Imreallydead. That's a main idea in LaVeyan Satanism as well.
1
We are Atheists... Are we not allowed to be anything more?
1
Ceasar Valle Lol I mean illegal drugs.

+Sky Flawless Extended to Spanish people like me. I've also never consumed drugs of any kind.
