  19. LaVeyan Satanism is a philosophy based on the concept of Satan, not literal belief in him. We view him as just a character from a book that we admire and follow his example. We live through sin as it all leads to physical, mental, and emotional gratification. We value human nature, free will, vengeance, and this one life we know for certain is here. This way to live has always existed until the Church came into the picture and called such behavior Hedonistic and sentenced us to Hell.
