  1. The only thing allowed to work is conflict. Why should he agree with that? The only way forward is dialogue, as history shows in Northern Ireland. What else do you think he should fight for?

  2.  @craig3533  So he should parrot what Starmer and Sunak are saying when he has explained why that isn't good enough. Start with a compromise and you will end up with less then a tenth of what is needed, while lives are being lost. The pursuit of ideals led to the Good Friday Agreement. We had a few pauses and guess what? They didn't hold and we needed one and then another, and then many more. Listen to what JC says about the inadequacy of a pause and you may understand.

  3. One decent and humane person who could never be allowed anywhere near power. Why? What does that say about a country run for oligarchs to extract the last penny of profit while poverty increases? How can we entertain the notion that self-defemce extends to murder of the innocent?
