In a nutshell the military were put in place to aid the police in upholding the law, the same law enforced before the threat level was increased, it's not rocket science nor should it take the brains of Einstein to work that one out pmsl.

Nor is an idiot that thinks we can't own firearms (which we can) we just can't take it onto public land, nor using them on someone else's land without their permission, for the sake of common sense how do you think fox hunting works magic? LOL!!! The reality is we have stringent laws about gun ownership here in the UK firstly you have to have a genuine reason to have a licence to use one (doesn't stop some using them without a licence though I'll grant that but there's very few of them if they aren't required for most times, especially in urban areas) and self protection isn't a legitimate legal reason to own one, also can't have a criminal record either.
