@jupitergrls Henry VIII was well known for that and in public for doing that, after 20 or so years of being married to Catherine of Aragon (or how her name was spelt) he got fed up with her, wanted merely a divorce at the time but hadn't at that time got to the head chopping off part by then. When he created effectively his own religion, was later on he got to the head taking off part, it's due to him wanting a male heir but it never happened.
