"technically: nope. buddhist religion is about buddhist teachings, which are supposed to end the suffering life brings. a God is not a part of it or even seen as a hindrance on one's way to nirvana. however, i have seen some pictures and statues of several dieties at quite a few temples. the hindu deity ganesha for example. this is because, buddhism comes from hinduism, and also, there was hinduistic influence in the past. all that being said, i seen many thai honouring buddha and especially the King (may he rest in peace) even more than a lot of christians whorship God. it's all a matter of perception i guess and comes down to how an individual interprets their own religion. or, as je'suis Elle put it: Depends on what YOU believe :)"
