" Id say the world was changing from very conservative views to very liberal and "tolerant" views" You are aware the term now being classical liberalism (before the likes of socialist form of liberalism created largely either before or during the Victorian era and was even started during that time) was actually coined by John Locke, it's what heavily influenced the US Declaration of Independence, especially with Locke's works on classical republicanism and liberalism theory. Why do you think the likes of Robert Walpole, the Glorious Revolution as it was once called and still is (still remains of that even now), and the likes of Charles Grey both being former PM's and actually Grey turned far more to the right towards the end of his premiership, what you really need to do is some fucking research about political history in this country! Why do you think with the likes of Poland (even France has elected one of those) so called Classical Centrism, with Poland that being (one of them certainly actually far right and liberal being Poland Together and the Polish Peoples Party (who have been in a coalition form of Government multiple times in the past as well as standing on their own as a Governing party of Poland (actually far more to do with the right and they're classed as Liberals lol.
