Just like Dennis Richie who created the C Programming Language, an upgrade from B which was as I believe (going from complete memory lol, though may not be all that accurate) a lighter version of the BCPL assembly language. C was used to develop the UNIX OS. He died (Richie did) a few months before Steve Jobs and yet Richie created the C language and allowed it to be used for free, just like Tim Berners-Lee did.

@GridnetGaming Was actually a group of people who realised what was formerly the ARPANet (now is called D-ARPA), infact is videos of the 1st ever ARPANet machine as well lol.

@TattleDelta From what I can remember (though reading about the development of the whole network is a bit hazy lol) it started off with the US government department known as APRA (D-ARPA I think its called now and still is operating as well) called the APRNANet (not sure if it was styled like that though). Was then the NSF (National Science Foundation) which made it quite essentially into a inter connecting network, as before then was one single computer at each organisation that connected to the network, this idea was to make multiple computers connect to the network Inter-connecting Networks aka the internet for short lol.
