@Tackytiger74 lol you've proven nothing as to why its called The Independent, was over a proposed take over by Ruper Murdoch of some other paper and some of the 'journalists' working for his empire essentially didn't want to move over so the Independent was founded in the 1980s you clearly dont have one clue what you're talking about has nothing to do with being either on the left or the right as to why it's called that, they lean from centre-left when it comes to politics always have done but centrist when it comes to the economy.
