I also used to not like Flatpaks, but then when I realised literally every single piece of software they deliver is packaged better than the PPA versions, I gave in. Especially emulators. I do love me some PS2 games

Excited for the upcoming 3.30 version? Supposedly, it'll recieve a huge performance patch

Upgrade your gpu. That's honestly the only way. Gnome3 is designed for modern hardware, you have Gnome2 (Mate) for older hardware. Though, I'm using Gnome3 on my Intel Pentium B950, and it works smooth enough for my noticing. Fedora has the best Gnome3 integration today, and driver manager is similar to Ubuntu or Manjaro, only built into the app store. All you have to do is install RPM Fusion https://rpmfusion.org/Configuration from this site, both free and non free versions, that way you'll have the complete experience. Install updates, install Nvidia driver, and godspeed. Sorry for the long post and hope everything ends up as it should :D

Well, as I said, the default Gnome version gives you one-click installs for both Nvidia driver and the driver manager. It should recognise the configuration and let you just pick the GPU you want to use. Have you tried that way? Or the good ol' asking the web way?
2
Only if it used KDE as a base instead of Gnome...

Arch will surely ;) Though Fedora loves Gnome the most, I wouldn't be surprised if it gets it first

Aw, shame. Well, let's hope it'll catch up to KDE's magic of recourse management

So, it's basically Endless OS, but without its EULA? Neat, I hope the GPU drivers on the Flatpak side come pre-configured

For the refreshing thing, use the command "killall plasmashell && kstart plasmashell". I've been using KDE for more than 75% of my Linux time, and it works like a dream. Also, Kubuntu has the best KDE implementation in my opinion

No need to make a script, if you launch the command with the Alt + F2 thingie, it stays remembered. Just type in k and the rest will autofill. Or, you can make the command as an "app" with KDE's application editor. There are limitless ways to approach any issue

Weird? Kstart works fine on my install. Over the Alt F2 thing, that is
