  1. For the refreshing thing, use the command "killall plasmashell && kstart plasmashell". I've been using KDE for more than 75% of my Linux time, and it works like a dream. Also, Kubuntu has the best KDE implementation in my opinion

  2. No need to make a script, if you launch the command with the Alt + F2 thingie, it stays remembered. Just type in k and the rest will autofill. Or, you can make the command as an "app" with KDE's application editor. There are limitless ways to approach any issue
