You were there to '''free the people from Sadam'''? How about asking our government to free our working homeless, free the thousands of addicts fouling every city pavement, free our vets from homelessness, free the people from violence on the railways, free our kids from being gunned down in schools, how many times a year? A reporter asked a USA soldier in Iraq, what they were doing there, he said to''' free the Iraqis from Sadaam. The reporter told him, the Iraqis were saying they wanted to be free from America.

@timkincade9763 Explain yourself in a more understandable complete sentence.

@undesignated3491 The SS told them there were no WMDs, so they created a parallel S Service to tell them what they wanted to hear.

@geoms6263 Are you dripping sarcasm?

@lukecarroll9823 -- Remember the soldiers are aping what the government and their commander's reason for being at war is. Their role is to be '''robotic''', without thinking outside of the box''' The narrative was not aimed at the soldiers but to the president and his men. It was just wide rhetorical questions.

@DWDocumentary I second that comment. Please CONTINUE to omit music, especially the very loud kind which successfully competes with the narrative.

@jdotsalter910 -- If it was '''far beyond their years of maturity to question their government's motive for war, then their morals were not yet made enough to go to war. Maybe THEY did not know, but their parents and other adults around them knew. The Vietnam war was just like '''yesterday''

@tuforu4 I thought the same thing, he looked confused. Bad conscience maybe.

I am with you. Michael Moore used his grammy speech to condemn the Iraqi war, and the ''air headed'' Hollywood audience booed him down, and security hustled him from the stage. There is a saying' 'Dare to be a Daniel, dare to stand alone''.. We try our best, but the crowd always win

@tugful The USA's usual ''Modis operandi''' is to secretly train, arm and bankroll the activists, of a country. We do not know if this is the case in Ukraine, but just saying.
1
@johnmanole4779 The USA's usual ''Modis Operandi'' is to secretly train, arm, and finance the activists in a country to over the government. They have done this in Iran and many other countries. Not saying this is true in Ukraine, but the truth will eventually come out.

@zw1840 Or they can't see the trees, for the leaves

@Ruder6163 Many people forgot that. Iraq used chemical weapons to kill many thousands of adults and ten-year-old kid soldiers''' of Iran. Chemical weapons and know how given by the USA. The CIA then whispered that, '''it seems he will get away with it''' All of Iraq's weapons factories were bombed by the Clinton government, a long time ago, so this WMDs were a farce.

@nejnej4676 That is no business of ours. If a country and people want a certain type of system, let them fight and die for it. Ten thousand might die, but when the USA and allies get involved millions will perish, and our soldiers will keep coming home in body bags. Let's take care of our working homeless, vets , scores of kids getting gunned down yearly, addicts fouling the streets on every city [pavement. In NK none of that, North Korea's problems stems from the USA sanctions and interference. Who is going to sanction the USA for all the atrocities around the world?
1
@undesignated3491 All of that '''intelligence''' was false. Pres., Clinton had ALL of Iraq's weapons factories blown up, in part, to cover up his scandal with Monica Lewinsky. The CIA told the Bush administration it was false, so they created a parallel intelligence Service to tell them what they wanted to hear.

@tuforu4 Before Khomeini, the USA trained armed and bankrolled the secret police of Iran to keep the puppet Shah in power. This resulted in many thousands of civilians killed. Therefore, after the Shah left, the students decided to hold the USA consul's hostage to prevent the USA from invading again. Bad karma kept hitting the USA when they sent in their elite Seals to rescue the hostages, their helicopters crashed in the desert, all killed. So, the hate for Iran continues, who just wanted their resources nationalized for the benefit of their people.

Democracy in the USA is a racket. The intended goes cap in hand to Park Avenue to the rich lobbyists, who after supporting their choice with millions of dollars, to the win, call the shots, low taxes etc. for them. The lobbyists are the ones running the country.

If a country wants a certain regime, let them fight and die for it, ten thousand might perish, but when the USA etc., gets involved millions will die, including our soldiers coming home in body bags or not at all, being blown to bits. The USA have supported dictators and communist over and over again, so it was all hypocrisy to say they were there to free the people, who have told reporters, ''We want to be free from America'''

Colin Powel has no excuse. When you spend money, you automatically check your change. This one man, who turned out to be a liar, gave them ''intelligence''', they were only too eager to grasp, without checking. They knew it was manufactured.

Hardly anyone has an individual thought in this USA. BEFORE the Iraqi war started, Michael Moore used his acceptance speech at the Grammy to denounce it for the farce it was. The whole Hollywood airhead audience booed him loudly and he was hustled off the stage. In this world, it seems to be hard ''' to dare to be Daniel, hard to stand alone.

Why does the USA not save the Haitians who are right on their step? Instead, they et al are paying Kenya to travel thousands and thousands of miles away to intervene. During the civil war in Chile, Nixon said on international tv '''We couldn't give a shit about Chile, because we have no interest there'''
