@buddyguy4723 💯 I left the Dems in '79... because I am a Liberal! I wish that people would break the bad habit of misusing that designation! Just once indulge 20 mins in the mental exercise of attempting to reconcile Liberalism with Authoritarianism!! 1913 -1921: Wilson The Progressive Era Wilson was the first "Modern Liberal" as opposed to the "Classic Liberals": The Founders "American president who demonized ethnic groups as enemies of the state, censored the press, imprisoned dissidents, bullied political opponents, spewed propaganda, often expressed contempt for the Constitution, approved warrantless searches and eavesdropping, and pursued his policies with a blind, religious certainty." edit: Liberal Fascism J. Goldberg sorry 😉

@godzillamegatron3590 And therein lies the only remaining "systemic racism" left in America! If primary Ed was corrected to eliminate education based on ethnicity and economics (read: zip code) then you automatically eliminate both affirmative action and quotas, both of which are race-based! This truly is the last vestige of racism and we really are treating the symptom not the cause. edit: grammar

@JackHaveman52 As to your closing remarks above: The Tytler Cycle: "A democracy will continue to exist until the time voters discover they can vote for generous gifts from the public treasury. From that point, the majority always votes for the candidates who promises the most benefits from the public treasury. The result is that every democracy finally collapses due to loose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship." - Alexander Tytler The average age of the world’s greatest civilizations has been about 200 years. These nations always progressed through this sequence: •From Bondage to Moral Certitude; •Moral Certitude to Great Courage; •Great Courage to Liberty; •Liberty to Abundance; •Abundance to Selfishness; •Selfishness to Complacency; •Complacency to Apathy; •Apathy to Dependency; •Dependency to Bondage.” edit: author name

@godzillamegatron3590 You're splitting fine hairs: education is part & parcel of the culture.

@janewx1 Not "feel as though"; it IS racism...when it should be about qualifications, merit. If you are making a decision, any decision, based on external characteristics such as race (or gender), In That Moment you are, by definition, making a race-based decision, full stop. If you truly want to stop that race-based decision making, you do it by leveling the playing field for kids! Support school choice! Empower parents with ability to choose the best schools for their students irrespective of ethnic or economic factors! You want diversity in good paying jobs .. you start with diversity in good education. Then there will no longer be a race-based consideration at the adult jobs level - or child education level!!

@janewx1 Have you asked yourself why you automatically default to the "racist", "evil", "bad people" explanation .. as opposed to listening to diverse ideas on alternate modes of resolution?
