@joshuarebennack68 I'm a professional Helicopter and Airplane pilot, and a Mechanical Engineer (with 22+ patents, set a few world records working for NASA, etc). I'm used to guys who are hard to talk to (was also in the military). But an engineer that is dismissive of new ideas without testing them, and while dismissing supporting data, is a fool. I'd like to see more "strange" ideas tried more often, as you never know what just might work. There is a lot we still don't know about flight, and so dismissing reasonable ideas even if they seen a little odd is not wise.

@joshuarebennack68 I enjoy reading Barnaby's stuff, and learn what I can from him, but I've met him and talked to him. He seemed to me rather dismissive of new ideas not his own. He was quick to bash ideas which have been tested and verified by many people, as failures, and was opposed to seeing those ideas tested further, despite the data showing promise contrary to Barnaby's dismissive feelings on the matter. Basically, I came away from talking to him rather put off and not wanting his input where new ideas were concerned. Thanks for the link though. I was not aware of this report and am curious what he found.
