  2. I think that there used to be some pro-Russia (and huge "don't care") population before 2014. After Russians levelled many cities and forcefully conscripted locals as expendable cannon fodder, I doubt many like them any more.

  4. No, it's just West which is reluctant to give long range weapons. Ukrainians as such are more flexible, and there are numerous mysterious fires on Russian territory recently.

  5.  @Zollaho  As all Ukrainian territory (including let's say Lviv) is being targeted, Ukrainians are clearly not thrilled about playing totally different game than Russians. Ukrainians are clearly not bragging, Russians are clearly not admitting anything (Moskva had ammo fire, lol) and West is looking the other way. If Ukrainians are not making it too costly for Russia, then they can't win. On the other hand realistically all they can do is get Russia to mobilise some poorly trained, unmotivated and equipped with outdated stuff conscripts.
