  1. Makes sense that they’d want her to stop filming. If my job involved petty fits of rage and injuring seniors because I didn’t feel like giving them what my job required me to give them… I wouldn’t want anyone to know about it. (It doesn’t, by the way.)

  3. What matters is that she needed it, and the cops were more inclined to break her arm and jail her than just give her the police report she needed to receive another one.

  4. She was a threat to the cops’ accountability. Before this, how many people knew that cops could simply refuse to give police reports to citizens requesting them if they just didn’t want to? And now, how many are aware that they’d sooner break a woman’s arm and tell her she’s under arrest?

  5. The people who say “It’s just a few bad apples” fail to mention that the whole phrase is “A few bad apples spoil the barrel”. The barrel’s been spoiled for years. And the original “bad apples” might not even have been cops - it could’ve been military-style training that didn’t bother to teach them anything passive.

  6. The only genuine answers I can think of are “go without a glucometer” and “try again with the Manhattan police department”, which isn’t the one this lady was specifically told she could receive what she needed… and might’ve just been exactly the same.
