  3. To be fair, the guy at 1:13 did do his research. Aside from the first name (It was Rutherford B. Hayes), everything he said was correct. The only presidents after him who refused a legally-allowed extra term didn't have a full first one, filling in for predecessors who died in office. The point he was trying to make by bringing that up... is anyone's guess.

  9. If I had to guess… he thinks Biden didn’t seriously want to be president, and just ran to deny Trump a second term. It’s evident to him because, unlike with Trump, Biden hasn’t already started campaigning for a second term of his own.

  11. Actually, he was almost right. The president from 1877-1881 was Rutherford B. Hayes, and as best I can tell, every president since then who declined another term they could’ve legally campaigned for… was the successor of a president who died in office. It’s just unclear what point he was trying to make by bringing that up.

I checked to be sure - every president after him who could’ve campaigned for another term and chose not to… never had a full first term anyway, coming after someone who died in office. Although to his main point… it shouldn’t be suspicious at all that Biden isn’t already campaigning for a second term. He’s using the standard of Trump doing it so early into his first term.
