  1. I'm reminded of something I heard a comedian (whose name I can't remember) say about Sarah Palin. Apparently, she's beloved by the Republican party for fitting their "dumb woman" stereotype, someone to cast as both a true patriot and a comforting presence for the "only men should do the important stuff" crowd. I'm not sure how true that is; I've only been following major politics since 2015... but that honestly looks like what's going on here.
