  1. The bank is not discriminating. It's upholding the law and its own rules and regulations as set by the FCA. If high profile individuals are suspected of dodgy financial interests then the bank reserves the right to withdraw service.

  5.  @jimmeer  Rubbish. The police has no authority over the service that the bank provides. It's not like the bank is stealing or has stolen Farage's money. All they have done is closed his account, and that is NOT a criminal offence. The police have therefore no authority over the conduct of the bank as the service provider. That is up to the regulatory body who decides the behaviour of the bank and how it conducts its service. Also the matter of Farage being a high profile political figure is a key element in this. No bearing? You need to think again.
