@blowbert9126 maybe cause they have no guns in Europe? This possibility ever occurred to you? Russia, where guns(and specially handguns) are banned is far ahead of USA in murder rate. just google it . Note, that in almost all cases those shooters pick places, where there is absolutely no possibility of someone being armed. NYC subway not so long ago. you can't have a permit to carry a gun in NYC, period. coincidence? I don't think so. (I'm not a big fan of guns, don't own any, but those are the facts)

@irvingceron1016 top google link : A 2013 report by the European Commission found that nine out of ten EU citizens had never owned a gun

@irvingceron1016 Yes Yes and Yes. I'm all for a long (and expensive) screening process in USA, but looking at the places like Russia(where I come from) guns are needed. Government of the country should respect and be afraid of the people, who elect them. Not an opposite, like in Russia today.(I'm in Philly, so tell me something I don't know about gun violence 😀)

@irvingceron1016 How does Europe compare with the US on gun ownership? euronews

@irvingceron1016 my point is simple-if there is no guns, there is will be another form of violence. knifes, stabbing, shooting with regular hunting rifles(as it was in Russia some time ago) etc.

@blowbert9126 you got that right. See my comment above.

@Wordavee1 IMO US is not far apart from Russia, runs by "establishment", but again: I truly believe that unlike Russia, US government does afraid citizens of their country. Great example from yesterday; former major in Russia Roysman got a hefty fine for "insult of government employee". Guy just tweeted that the Russian government f###d their own economy for sake of the war with "ukrainian nazis". Word to word translation. I'll choose guns and feared gvt over this.

@Rico-xv9rd that's not true. To top it off looks like you don't know what assault rifle is. And what is the cost, rules and regulations to own one. Are you from that bunch, who believes that AR in AR-15 stands for Assault Rifle?
1
@Rico-xv9rd The “AR” in “AR-15” rifle stands for ArmaLite rifle, after the company that developed it in the 1950s. “AR” does NOT stand for “assault rifle” or “automatic rifle.” AR-15-style rifles are NOT “assault weapons” or “assault rifles.” An assault rifle is fully automatic, a machine gun. Automatic firearms have been severely restricted from civilian ownership since 1934.
