  1. Interesting question. Maybe because the wehrmacht military doctrine is a bunch of infantries supporting an MG crew, and they didn't bother change the doctrine. If i remember correctly, the Sturmgrewehr were supposed to be used in semi auto most of the time

  2. AKs would probably have steel stock, not sure bout the front handguard tho AR-15 family (M16 and M4) would probably be more blocky to save milling time, or go casted alltogether

  3.  @hochimane6535  Indeed. There could be many reasons, like ammunition supply line, Hitler's objection, or other reasons undocumented by history. I guess we'll never know, except someone more knowledgeable chimes in.

  4. The AK also goes to 1000 if i remember correctly before reduced, i think they just don't wanna leave empty spaces
