  1. There is a good side, that you are not noticing about Japan. I would call this time a golden age of Japanese culture. Recently for the first time it became world-wide acknowledged and spread, meaning anime, which now competes against Hollywood movies. The literature is flourishing, while it has only stagnated in the West. There are so many talented singers and composers. And there is so much different and relatively cheap delicious food out there in Japan. And Karate and Judo are still pretty popular around the world
