  1.  @jamesthompson2065  But, weren't the people in power telling the public to vote Remain? The £350m figure was the amount charged by the EU for UK membership. There was some 'rebate' however, this was up to the EU to allow; also those in the UK asking people to vote Remain were against the UK's rebate. The vote was a 'once in a generation' vote about the future and there was no guarantee the rebate would continue if the UK remained a member. Would this money be used for the NHS? Of course, any money not being given to the EU would be used for the NHS. This is because the NHS costs far more than £350m pew week. Would this be extra money? Yes, it would be extra money available for the NHS and less borrowing for the government too. Would the NHS receive an additional £350m each week? The Leave bus did not say this - it said 'instead' not 'extra'. I don't really see the Leave bus message as being a lie. I think it simply said: 'The EU wants us to give this money to the EU - let's keep it and use it on our priorities instead'. I think an example of an actual lie was the way politicians and news media repeated the idea that 'the EU was funding the UK in various ways'. Of course, this could not be true, because it is a fact the UK had always funded the EEC/EU and had received around half as much back.

  2. So, Germany is only friendly if you behave how Germany wants you to. Throughout this whole Brexit process there has been no disrespect towards EU countries on British TV. Perhaps, this is the difference and why the Brits have gone.
