@almiromeragic9341 As you say, mostly retired and not working, so not taking jobs from locals, but spending their UK pounds which is a great benefit to the local society. The EU nationals are still in the UK, as 5.6 million have decided it's a better place to be and applied for UK settled status. There are no peppers that need picking - if the farmer had orders he would get the peppers picked. The farmer grew too many peppers - this is quite usual in this type of farming. It is just EU propaganda from an EU sponsored propaganda outlet - only fools believe it.

@jon carley They have been paying decent wages. The Eastern Europeans are not as stupid as you seem to think they are. The reason UK farmers like to employ from Eastern Europe is there is a ready supply of young fit people willing to work when needed. These people on 'poverty wages' are going back to Eastern Europe and paying cash for properties. I don't dislike them or think they are doing anything wrong. I admire them for traveling and working hard. However, the UK government has a responsibility to ensure UK people can get jobs and advertising every UK job to 27 other countries doesn't help.

If only I had known a foreign farm owner couldn't employ foreign pepper pickers in the UK - I would never have voted to live in an independent democratic country.

@questionmark9819 I don't see the message on the red bus as being a lie. Yes, the rebate was not in that figure, but the referendum was about the long-term future "decades to come" (government leaflet) it was the EU billed amount and the UK rebate was up to the EU and not likely to last; also, UK pro-EU activists wanted to end the UK's rebate and pay the full amount. Then we have the money returned in the form of EU-UK payments. The EU referendum was about 'taking back control' so in a 'Brexited Britain' the people through parliament would decide spending priorities 'funding the NHS' could if wished be more important than what the EU payments were being given to - that is called: 'sovereignty'. Then we have 'extra' money for the NHS. Problem here is the statement did not say 'extra' it said 'instead'. If you cancel your gym membership and buy groceries 'instead' with the money you have not used for the gym - you do not have to buy more groceries. This is particularly the case if you are spending more than your income and borrowing to pay the bills - as the UK was at the time of the statement. So, I say 'no lie' just 'good campaigning' by the Leave side. The Remain side however, did lie.

This is not 'news' it is EU propaganda - the real reason is low sales due to restaurants having been closed and people have stopped eating out. EU is a big propaganda lie machine - just look at 'project fear'- then when that did not work the UK people were subjected to years of being told they were stupid and must vote again with the correct answer. The UK people did not succumb to tyranny and are now free of the 'big brother' oppression.

Zuurker U How do you know what this farm's order sheet looks like? You see some bell peppers on a bush and you think this is evidence of what exactly? It's evidence of some bell peppers on a bush is what it is. I voted for Brexit because I don't want people in other countries telling me how to live my life. If you have a problem with that - it's your problem - not my problem.

Zuurker U The veto was worthless to Brexiteers, because we had politicians intent on hopeless federal Europe - we had to strip that power from them. You don't know the truth about these vegetable sales. Six million EU27 nationals have applied to stay in UK - there must be some workers available here. I think if the farmer had orders he would find pickers. I like people from Europe - I visit there often and I'm going soon for 3 weeks. It's not my government posting negative 'news' videos about other countries.

@Pawwel Mussial A million Brit pensioners spending £200 per week in EU 27 is £200 million per week and more than £10 billion each year. Even I know that's beneficial to any economy.
