@VeeShenge There's the problem that if we have referendums every 10 years it will turn into every 5 years and there will never be stability. The idea of union is we come together and work as one greater nation.

@woodpecker8327 You had a vote and the result was to be in the UK - try thinking that the 'us' won and your side is no entitled to continually disrespect the majority.

@VeeShenge The situation in Northern Ireland is, if it appears a majority want NI to leave the UK there will be a referendum. There has been a recent referendum in Scotland and the result was the Scottish people wanted to stay part of the UK. There appears to be no obvious majority to reverse that decision. If you don't respect those that voted 'No' why should anyone listen to your demands to be respected? If it becomes clear a majority of Scottish people want Scotland to leave the UK then there will be a referendum. There is also the argument that, if a minority of Scots would just shut up about it - 90% of Scots would be happy in the UK.

@VeeShenge Brexit has made it less likely people in Scotland would vote to leave the UK. If Scots wouldn't vote for independence when they would have remained in political union with the UK - they're not going to vote for independence to be out of political union with the UK.

@woodpecker8327 There's plenty of people in the rest of the UK that wanted the UK to remain in the EU - about ten times those in Scotland - it's the thing about 'democracy' - not everyone gets what they voted for...

No one is stopping you - most would be glad to see you leave the UK. It's just you cannot take Scotland with you because a majority of Scots want to stay in the UK. If there was another referendum in few years, your kind would lose again and all you would have achieved is years of division caused by perpetuated inbred resentment.
