  2. BGSlopy It is useless to argue with Lithuanians, whose grandfathers in 1941-44 eagerly and voluntarily collaborated with Nazis in killing 220 000 Lithuanian Jews. Lithuanians students took part in massacres as in a jamboree at weekends and were happy to obtain some pocket money for the fun of shooting human beings.

  3. These people look like slave laborers from Germany's occupied countries, returning home in 1945 after Nazi Germany defeat. Some of them might be POWs, still wearing their armies uniforms. There were millions of them in Germany in 1945.

  4.  @petergehlen4190  I am well aware of the British and French practice of Indian tribes annihilation in the North America for the sake of vacating prairies for their colonists. This inhuman practice is a shame not only on Great Britain, France or the US, but on the whole of the Western civilization. I am an ethnic Russian, living in Moscow, and such atrocities are incomprehensible for our mentality. A genocide was never being practiced by our predecessors either in time or the Russian Empire or in the Soviet era. The Soviet Government in 1926 adopted a Law on priority of raising the economic, social, technical and cultural level of backward peoples, living on the periphery of the USSR. Nowadays some narrow-minded nationalists among those ex-tribals turned to Russophobia to gain cheap popularity in their electorates. Hopefully this sort of Russophobia dies down when Western bonanza would not come to their homes, when they evict Russian-speaking people from their newly-born countries.

The best book ever published in the West on it is the “Rise and Fall of the Third Reich” by the American Journalist and historian William Shirer, based on a thorough research of secret documents of all German ministries and organizations, captured by the Allies in 1945. This book has been translated into most of European languages, German i.a.
