As a working class Brit I'm immensely proud of our Queen. Who can not respect a woman putting in a shift for her nation at 93! The Markle thing is a disaster though, hate the woman! I'll give everyone here £100 for every year over 5 that marriage lasts!

The son that died on the "White boat." It wasn't actually a party as such. If you can imagine the elite of British society got onto a state of the art private jet & got blind drunk including the pilots & then the plane crashed that would be more analogous. They were returning from Normandy in a flotilla & all the young were racing ahead in a state of the art boat having got & continuing to get really drunk & in the night they ran into some rocks & the ship sunk. Rather ironically they had thrown two priests off who had come to bless the boat & it's passengers on the journey!

That is not actually true that syphilis came from the New World. A few years ago archaeologists dug up a Medieval cemetery here in the UK in a costal port called Hull. The cemetery was part of a monastery which I think dated back to the 11th.centery. They found clear evidence of syphilis on one of the monks bodies estimated to have died in the 12th. century so the infection was probably the other way round.
