Of course, the "Dept Trap Info" was rhetorical misinformation, presumably spread by China itself, per Sun Tzu's recommendations: Make your enemy think you're suffering by faking your weakness in a discipline they feel safe in to prepare for the sudden attack... That's a pretty old and stupid war story. Never heard of a non-zero sum game/trade?!? Some people really hold onto traditions very hard while despising wisdom.
