Who would have believed that North Korea, of all countries, would be one of those pioneering states that would actively support a complete secession of a region from the previous conglomerate (if it is actually desired by the majority of the population) ?!? (0:35) However, at least according to the report, "the recognition was also [or: ONLY?!?] welcomed by SOME Donetsk residents." which is assumingly not the majority !?!

@youmemeyou Maybe. But before I throw the Vatican and Afghanistan as additional countries into the discussion, I would first like to know what the exact wish and wording of the Donbass population was, which was expressed in writing according to the recent referendum!

@youmemeyou Your answer shows me that some people could obviously interpret and answer my previous statement differently than assumed. Because I probably think similar like you: Namely that such a detailed survey/referendum on the extent of a desire for affiliation, independence or anything in between has not yet been carried out and must therefore have top priority before any further discussion about aknowledgement of sovereignty. - At least for those who claim and boast about their intention to help the people in Donbass and in the Luhansk region in a conflict that has been accumulating for many years.

@youmemeyou to honor explanations
