  2.  @Cherishthemoment  we can probably start back with the US sponsored overthrow of a democratically elected government and the subsequent rise of of the current naz i leaning one. their first order of business was to virtually outlaw being of russian heritage. with the subsequent declarations of independence by the Donbas regions and the ensuing constant 8 year bombardment we end up in a place where russia pretty much didn't have a choice.
