It took China about fifty years.... Russia overcame western colonialism in twenty to becoeme part of the rivalry to western hegimony.... Russia is demostrating a go slow approach in Ukraine and advocating a careful aproach in Africa. With the break up of western hegimony it seems inevatable that Africa will gain it's independance.... Something that we have been dreaming about for hundreds of years.

The grain deal included an unimplemented part where Russia was allowed to receive payment for wheat and fertilizer from Swift and have those ships protected. Russia's wheat and fertilizer production not only dwarfs that of Ukraine but it is offering to send sanctioned grain to food insecure countries for free..

@notarmchairhistorian7779 Who determines what oil is illegal and which is not? It is interesting that the Venezuelans got all of their money in american banks impounded as well as the gold they held in London... Then they arrested their diplomat for sourcing food for Venezuelans.... My understanding is that the americans did a similar thing to Iran a couplie years back as well as doing that when Mossadegh was elected. Similar piracy is happening in Europe with the banks.. It is not enough to say that we are powerful, we support these international cartels against other groups and we will say what goes. Balance of power is changing.

@jeremyj5932 I agree. The US shouldn't be makinig coups in Ukraine to annex Russian lands.

@Coma White Russia just liberated the donbass via refferendom and millatary means, the russian ruble is gaining strenght against all other currncies, russia is making more money from less oil & gas and the russian economy is stable...... Economies in the EU, UK are in trouble... How is russia losing?

@anythingunderthesun5003 Russia seems very paitnent, consistant and transparent. After watching comanders do something it is easy to think how any idiot would know how to do that... Perhaps that is what it is like to be a leader.

@J.M.254 Never agian means never again... We will not forgive the US or Israel ever.

That is my understanding... He was facing some unethical orders.

@VeggieRice Your consern for Wall Street asset valuations is heartwarming on this auspicous easter orthodox occasion where russian orthodox churches in former Ukraine were bombed by their fellow Ukrainains. Wall Steet may be suffering but what about the rest of the world which is suffering for them?
2
@waldensmith4796 Ukrainians have been killing Ukrainains for so long... Yesterday they bombed their fellow Ukriainans while at easter mass.... I am not sure that bombing your fellow Ukrainains is a sign of good faith.
2
@bobgonzales9680 Have a heart! Wall Steet is in big trouble and will have to take a drop in asset values... You can't even begin to imagine the magnitude of indigestion that will cause.
2
@fikarrusdiawan9562 It is possible that Ukraine stores it's munitions and it's military personel in different locations..
2
@KingNetSystems Interesting take... seems like you speak farcy 'cause I didn't see no detailed reports on the chain of custody.. 'Lots of tolerance on the english learning side as well.

@jonahblack6417 It took me like a week to imagine the size of the blast. By looking at the houses in the istance there is some indiction of how big it was. There was an earlier report that there was a spike in radiation. When they said it was gamma I felt confused... Now I am getting the impression that the spike was not at after or during the blast... Intially I thought it was an indication of a huge amount of depleated urainum... Needless to say, roumors can do a lot of dammage to the value of the agricultural commodities comming from that region. About the size of the blast. The Ukrainians are under a great deal of pressure to have the world's biggest super dupper 100% success offensive against the Russians.... Up unit a week ago the ground was like a meter or more thick in mud.... They needed to store huge quantities of amunition and they needed to store by railways and roads... The Russians were always watching where they put it.... With no air cover, the Russians can bomb anywhere they want.
2
@jonahblack6417 Got to figure in both theis case and the case in the east where the screen flashed pure white, there was secoundary blasts.. To me this means that they were ammo dumps. To be sure I thought that the increase in radiation was proabably an indication of a huge quntity of very low emitting nuclear material... I was primed to think that beceuse the UK had said that they were sending depleated Urainum shells to Ukraine.. Like most of these cases I tend to defer to the analysis of the people in my news echo chamber. What each of them thinks isn't always the same... I challenged one of their assesments and I am trying to figure out where the truth is in that matter.

@eispaipersfrostmage9766 Siemens is a german company that was to supply and service for the pumps for the piplines.... Some evidence was presented that Siemens couldn't work around the european imposed sanctions to service and supply the pumps. Another issue is that the russians were having problems with payments...

The depleated uranium is very toxic and never goes away. It is very serious..

@billnikola2463 I like the way Trump said that the US annexed part of Syira to steal the oil... It is refreshingly candid.

@jonahblack6417 Ukaine is insisting that they suffered no losses of Patriot bttary systems from the missle attacks in Kyev. Ukraine is insisting that the Russians trained six hyper sonic missles around Ukraine that were shot down by Patriot systems. Zelinsky's assesment is Ukraine was able to shoot down these hypersonic missles because of Ukrainian people having resolve and determination. My impression is that the people of the US tend toward the assesment that Ukraine can win aginst evil Putin because they have this kind of resolve. I have the feeling that eventually there won't be any more weapons that the collective west can send... The war was waged to institute sancions aginst Russia. Those sancitons as if designed to strenghten Russia in a lot ow ways and Russia seems to be doing it's best to take advantage of this huge gift by the west. Internationally Russia is also taking advantage of the loss of reputaion of the dollar's safety.when the US can confiscate dollars and gold if they put their money in US dominated banks. Russia tends toward not taking a lot of ground. My assement is that they will slowly expand into Ukraine when Ukraine is in colapse.... So slowly that the west won't have to aknowledge the colapse of Ukraine.
1
@fikarrusdiawan9562 I can understand why under the cercomstaces that Ukraine needs to have massive amuniton dumps and massess of personel; they have been given a goal of an offensive within a few months as well as some of the amuniton to achieve that attack. That amuniton starts at the pollish and or romaian border and must be transported by land more that six hundred miles. If they step off road or rail they are knee deep in mud the only exception to the mud rule this year is like last week and this week. That causes a real problems when they don't have any, or adiquate, air cover. The russians know where all the ammo dumps, their masses of personel and equimpent are and can pick them off any time they want. It is little wounder Russia maximizes their targets and taragets that are ammo dumps look like nuclier blasts. The sad thing is that many of their targets are thousands of Russians and Ukrainains that are serving as Ukranian military personel.

@cravingtuna1561 Russia never bombed the capital of Ukraine.... Ukraine has no such restraint.
1
Very solid: The US is willing to fight to the last Ukrainian... The US got what it wanted; it is giving loads of arms to [sombody anybody] and it is further able to isolate europe from russia.... Of course it going to fight to the last Ukrainian, afghani... It is consistant in that.... Of course China doesn't want to have it's currency destroyed by taking nations reseve yuans in their banks. It wants to make it the world's medium of excange... I am not sure why the americans arn't more sensitive to destroying the dollar.
1
Kind of surprising... I thought Al Jasera[sp] was a reliable source.
1
@SpecialMuppetOperation Very thoughtful... It is possible that Russia could have saved more lives of their contry men by being rude....

@@doesntmatter7739 Why they ask to be connected to the swift so that they can sell grain and fertelizer? That was part of the grain coridor deal... Their grain dwarfs Ukrianian grain... The coridor was being used to attack russian ships that were guarding the coridor and the Terkstream pipline. It was also used to attack Crimea and the kirk bridge as well as running arms to Ukrainan ports. All of those were the agreements. The west never worried for starving people and made IMF loans to indebt those contries and set terms that they were not to grow their own food but buy from the US. That is because they are supporting international food monopolies... The west lements that they don't have as much power when it comes to confiscating dollars that they used to have and they can just print those dollars. Russians were food sanctioned starting in '14 and created the biggest wheat export in the world. I don't really understand all the dynamics of China but they have been building infrastructure around the world... I figure Russia functions in a similar way and after the grain deal was never implemented they offered to send grain to several African countries for free.

Ukrainains prefer that they stay in place and suffer artillary strikes and lose their legs while stepping on pettal bombs...

It is possible that he was facing orders that were not ethical as well.

@ah6121 Millions of people, hundreds of years.... The Chinese show that it can be done.... I beleive that the argument that you, we, need to make is that equity causes not only genral prosperity but MORE prosperity... I believe that if we step out with industrialization and creating capital that we are better off than saying equity alone... It seems as if there is an air of inevatabity that slowly regions in Africa will start to stand up... It is important that we represent our interests in a way that is palatable to the retoric of shall we say 'capitalism' ... A captialism [indsutrial capitalism] that the west has abandoned.
1
@akm824 China came out of a hudred years of shame by engaging in the economic activity of the world. It is the same way that Russia overcame it's desent into colonialism in the ninties.... Now that both contries are industrializing and the west is deindustrializing, who do you think west Africa can work with to get out of their more than two hundred years of shame?
1
It is hard to imagine that it will be over soon.... It has fullfilled the US goals of increased weopons and isolating russia and china from europe... Europe is not in charge or they would have balked at the isolating sanctions that are mostly directed at them.... They do what the US wants.
1
What to do?
1
I don't understand the commentators conserns. Sanctions have been a big boost to russia and for the most part Russians are happy about that.... People who are otherwise engaged don't reach out for war.
