@dy6682 The idea that one shouldn't expect ones government to take care of them is odd... It is the neoliberal idea that we should all be individual automatons that aren't allowed, or shouldn't, make agreements as a group so that the very few can privatize and monopolize everything in the mistaken belief that it is GOOD that if things cost more and people are in debt, GDP goes up... It does go up but so does the 'standard of living' meaning the cost of the very base things that we need to function in society goes up. This creates a non competitive environment for industries that have to complete world wide... This was once thought to be anti-capitalist. Now it is know as financialized capitalism [or just capitalism] where as traditional capitalism [industrial capitalism] where much of life's necessities are produced or purchased by the government and given out for free or for subsided rates, so that labor can support industry, is thought of as socialism...

It's a war zone.... Nothing works.... There is no trade in the basics as well as no water... You would expect the government to do it's best to save your life in such a cercomstance.

@privateAcc0unt To be sure in '08 we had a huge crash in asset values, known as the sub prime mortgage crisis.... Obama and his team bailed out the criminal banking cartells all over the world.... They also put in place ways of protecting these ballooning valueations as to prevent the valuations from falling again... That does exactly what the Suabs of the world want... Another example of the neolibs taking over was the fall of the soviet union where all of russian assets were privatized....

So studying what they do won't lead to understanding any more than looking at the democrats assertion that trump was installed by putin would reveal any wisdom 'cause their ain't none there... What he done said was that the goal of the capitalists was to have central control of the natural monopolies: Land, banking, healthcare, education, utillities so that the indstrialists could create capital and things that they could capitalize on... So for the Swabs of the world: Capitalists of the world UNINTE!.... Time for the revolution against the aristocracy...

My understanding of Claus Schwab is that he is the neolib that proposed a goverment of central bankers run the economy with 'the great reset' "You will have nothing and be happy" was their proposal... I am on my way to understanding how the bankers actually need to have the rampent impiralism to keep afloat....

The sactions against russia were planned well in advance of russia's invasion of ukraine and the sanctions were more about keeping european markets for US and european monopolies... SO... The target of the sanctions were europe and not russia.

@yurigansmith My thinking is that europe will look completely different after the sanctions by the US bite... They are already experiencing run away inflation, political instability and civil unrest. Will the EU become reactionary in it's more than american, american alegiance, will it become tribally nationalistic and violent or will it become more worker friendly? I don't know... What is least likely is that europe will be more pro-US... More likely they will become militantly nationalistic or it will become more worker friendly... More likely the EU will break up...
