These documents contain communications between the National Archives and Trump and his team spelling out for them the proper procedures for declassification. This destroys Trump's "argument" that he could declassify documents just by removing them from the White House. Over 13000 documents were found at Mara Lago, including over 100 classified documents. Finally, vp's ARE allowed to have classified documents as of 2006, according to an executive order signed by Bush and renewed by Obama.

@mhm23mhm Those senators included arch conservatives like Goldwater. They knew Nixon had broken the law and had the guts to tell him, and also told him that they would vote for impeachment if he didn't resign. As you say, today's Republicans don't have the same kind of courage, or concern for the country, some of them due to their allegiance to Trump, others because they're afraid of offending his ignorant base.
