The point of the inquiry is to give the false impression to the proles that they have some kind of influence on the corrupted state.
Nothing more.
Cynical marketing techniques as old as time.
Hancock is the new Guy Fawkes.
It is that same state whose clearly ruthless present Head of State lied about Mau Mau and cosied up to tribal Africans and the inheritors of extreme violence (NOT any sort of freedom struggle, an obvious unhidden inter tribal violence that also slaughtered Europeans in large numbers) and in the course dumping on the people his parents relied upon to sustain their political economy in Africa under different circumstances.
The state consumes its subjects, at will, to sustain centres of power and control.
Hence the mindset of the Mail, the Mirror, the Express, each saying to their prole supporters 'THEY are doing 'it' (whatever oppression 'it' happens to be at the time) to US'
But not to the Harmsorths of this world. They are just fine. They are always just fine, as Murdoch and the rest are just fine now.
One minute the soldiers, the police, the civil servants sustaining the state are cynically sold as heroes and given medals and such like, a full generation or so later, they are sold as the racist suppressors of a violent dead and evil Imperial system.
My, the Chinese must be snapping at the heels of the West in East Africa! I guess the British are fearful of the French experience in north west Africa to resort to this nonsense.
Then there is the fools-gold glory of the so called Commonwealth. Got to give that a lease of life for the Head of State not to be a mere local papier-mache would-be Autocrat.
Not forgetting Obama's daddy, and the even more cyclical British sending bucket loads of compensatory money to mau man retirees to make Obama feel little docile PC Britain was his friend. Crawling creates contempt.
Read Rory Stewart's utterly depressing but clearly honest book on Kenya/Africa and the irrelevance of the British there now !!!
If I were a servant of the British state, and I were asked to put my life on the line, say to confront the Muslims in their violent marches through British cities, by the ministers appointed by this King's Prime Minister, I would refuse
I would go home, have a cup tea, a slice of cake, and avoid the next monarch, in fifty years time or so, sidling up to the Muslim government there in Number 10 and saying that I was a bloodthirsty monster of a policeman in trying to suppress the righteous Muslim marches in 2023.
No no no.
Stay at home police army and security people. Drink tea, eat cake, play with your children, cuddle your wives and girlfriends and have nothing to do with your corrupted power elites.
You are in their descendent's sights.
