It needs some reconstruction, and the editorial boards that impose Pravda-like authority where independent minded journalists of real stature have been replaced by hordes of hopeless 'presenters' need deconstructing. The scale of the BBC is vast. Appropriate to something the size of the USA, not a little post imperial island country. It can remain large enough to connect with the world, but the guff about soft-power is just that. Guff. The deluded English are taught to hate their Empire and much of their history by social misfits and those acting with naked self interest. That should end today.
