A famous story says that the devil knows more for old than for being devil. They plan on long , long terms and handle the basic wheels and pieces in the chess game of politics. But they are very vulnerable also.

  4. I don't see it as social engineering. Is more like bribing the right players and deceiving with smart moves and instruments of information and mixing truth with lies. Of course the power of force and intimidation. But definitely with constitutional chains and locks. Change the constitution and they are toasted.

They had been able to control the wheels of the system and secure many chains and stumbling blocks for the forces of progress. Particularly the most powerful threat to them which is the working class. But historically all changes of revolutionary significance had been because they can't prevent all the depressions and political crisis their behaviour provoke. Usually had been spontaneous events out of their talent to stop from causing their fall. I am willing to adventure a prediction. That since they can't stop the cyclical depression they know is overdue, they are trying to precipitate the crash and clash in order to abort a dangerous social explosion while we are divided. Trump is a significant proof they can't even choose a smart talented fascist to enforce fascism. They would had loved to have him succeed. But had to take a step back and didn't fully give the full support to subvert the election. All this 4 years had been a full blown radical assault on the establishment and deconstruction of the regulatory state and the international ties with the world markets traditional powers. That is proof they are planning an all out war and rearrangement of the world market. This domestic corporate class is the most corrupt and incapable sector of the wealthy . they don't have talent enough to lead the rest. There will be carnage if they are not stopped by themselves. And they might loose it all in a world war. The other powers like China , and Europe may take an opposing position against the USA. This nation has basically been abandoned by the corporate industrial most important sector of the wealthy. The rest here are too small to compete with China and others . they are politically and intellectually bankrupted since Trump. They think will come out safe in a world war. Let's remember that they have no national ties to any flag in particular. They can easily loot and leave to some shelter abroad. As an international empire the USA can easily be abandoned for another nest. And a new more explosive situation can come to change capitalism for ever. But I don't think the planet will survive an unhinged kind of Trump leadership. And the GOP is that kind ; too myopic and in corrupt decay .

  8.  @MD-cy8uj  they hear and say the "deep state" and automatically a oo7 movie in the subconscious triggers all Kind of suspicions. Or an obscure red of convoluted forces with maquiavelical powers comes to their minds. It's almost instinctive to believe a dark force awakening to take over the whole. It is amazing but fear and ignorance take the form of ghosts based on a simple reality. The deep state is all those politicians making a living out of the people's taxes and the lobby. All those beaurocrats that made a career in government some with individuals agendas for personal enrichment others for being the helpers of obscure money in investments and bribery. And the GOP and DNC heads working to secure the status quo. And finally the ones that truly sworn to protect the constitution in honest political careers or as beaurocrats serving both parties. But not an organized unified "secret society" dedicated to the devil is some church or some invented stupidity. It simply is the system protecting its inertia as government. No secret agents at all. It is a fantasy based in a practical reality.
