@promethiac2641 "I believe that belief is a fart in the wind"
that's your response?
ok... I'll give you the benefit of the doubt again, and actually help you with your argument...
you mentioned the 3rd industrial revolution.
ok, great. I will assume you are smart enough not to deny natural climate change. (the planets climate has NEVER been static)
ok, so your assertion seems to be that man is contributing to climate change, great!! I'm with you so far...
now, if you want to start a discussion about what to do about that, we need to perform a cost/benefit analysis, yes?? I mean, taking any action without first fully understanding what impact it will have, and what the cost of implementing this action will be is totally stupid... I assume we agree on that as well...
ok, so let's see if we can agree as to how much man is contributing to the current climate change.
I admit that I do not know... maybe you and your team of scientists can help....
according to you and your team of scientists, how much of the current climate change is man causing? is it .0002%? .2%? 2%? 22%? 42%? 62%? 92%?
how have you and your team of scientists been able to distinguish between natural, and man-caused climate change, and quantify them??

@Barbara Tuxley "Republicans who watch Fox News are more than twice as likely to deny human-caused climate change than Republican non-viewers"
HI Babs...
I'm a republican, who watches fox news, and I believe in human-caused climate change... I'm just not sure to what extent or what to do about it. you seem very knowledgeable and confident with this subject. would you be so kind as to try to help me understand??
ok, as we come up with a plan to somehow control the planets climate, shouldn't we do a cost/benefit analysis to see if our efforts are worth it?
how much climate change is human-caused, how do we reduce it, and what is the cost to reduce it??
all questions we need to answer, yes??
ok, let's start with how much climate change is "human-caused".
first, let's agree that natural climate change exists. I assume you aren't a climate denier, and agree that the planet's climate has NEVER been static.
great... so how much of the current climate change is "human-caused"?? is it .0002%? .02%? 2%? 22%? 62%? 92%?
I will admit that I do not know... but again, you seem quite knowledgeable and confident about the subject, so please... I'm politely asking you to give me the number..??
how have you been able to distinguish between natural, and "human-caused" climate change, and quantify them??
and what is the number?
