@BrentJohn "Not a chance. AirBnB didn't discriminate on legally protected grounds, according to the Canadian Human Rights Commission. Lauren's family would have no case, especially since they reversed their decision" yea... because social discrimination based on political beliefs is perfectly fine... say the nazis.

@BrentJohn "No. That's not something that should be protected by the government. It should be subjected to the democracy of a free market economy." and why not religion or skin color? other than "the gubbermint said so" what would be your personal argument to make legal based on political belief, but not skin color? what's the difference? the "democracy of a free market economy" would also allow folks to discrimination based on skin color, wouldn't it? again, what's the difference?

@kmacksmcdonald6475 "Does the right have the ability to punish air b&b? If a company did this to someone on the left they would instantly be organizing to punish that company financially" yea, all we can do is spend our money wisely, and hope that one day our gubbermint realizes that treating people differently based on political affiliation is as wrong as treating people differently based on skin color. it should not be allowed.

@drstevej2527 "So we can force private property owners what they can do with their property? Sorry no! What human right exists that allows you rent a condo somewhere?" no one is saying there is some right to rent your house skippy... but if you put your house on the market to be rented, you're not supposed to be able to discriminate. are you ok with me renting to white folks, but not black folks? hispanics, but not whites? christians, but not athiests? let me guess, you're all for discrimination, so long as it targets those groups you are prejudice against? but if the discrimination targets groups that you support, then it's not ok??? <shakes head>

@BrentJohn do you believe that this should be covered under civil rights, and that lawsuits should be filed, and easily won?
