@gamma-rayburst4611 "then what is the national guard for?" google the militia clauses, article I, clauses 15 and 16. the guard is a part of the federally controlled military. read the second amendment again, and you should be able to see the difference. (hint: citizens cannot depend upon a federally controlled military to protect them from said government becoming tyrannical)

@gamma-rayburst4611 you should also look at the Heller and Miller decisions.. not listen to politicians, but do some research.. from the Miller decision: "does not limit the right to keep and bear arms to militia purposes..." not my words. not brandons words. thats from the scotus.

I don't understand your question.... the same way we keep the senate, although some may be armed, and in your opinion, are extremists. our constitution and scotus rulings do not care about your opinion of individuals. because you believe armed republicans are extremists doesn't mean we should disband the senate... good grief............
