  1.  @ownthelibs  Right and left mean something different than it does here. Here left means fiscally liberal, but both sides are fiscally liberal, socialist, in Israel. In Israel right means for security. And the left keeps losing more and more seats because most people want to live, so security is necessary. Also, much of the left treated the Mitzrachim (Jews from lands the Arabs took) poorly. Many from Morocco, Yemen, Tunis, Iran, Iraq, etc. will never vote Mapai (Labor) because of how they were treated. They always vote Likud because, having lived among Arabs, they understand the mentality and know peace only comes from strength. It is only Jews living safely in the galut, or rich Ashkenazim, that condemn the right.

  2. Maybe because those shot weren't worshipers in the church, but at one of the cookouts nearby. Maybe it was because shell casings, at both cookouts, make it look like the people at each cookout were shooting at the other. Perhaps they are more concerned with hate crimes that go against the first amendment, rather than a shootout situation where both side were firing.

  8. She lives in Sderot. She probably is used to being at the receiving end of violence. I read her family came to California because their home had been destroyed by an Arab missile.
