  1. Intelligent people recognize and appreciate intelligence in others, experts appreciate and admire expertise in others. But, ignorant bombasts have to denigrate intelligent experts, as they look stupid in comparison.

But, that means there are jobs running and programming the robots. There are fewer of them, but they pay better. The problem is our education system does not prepare our children well for high tech jobs. When my child (now grown with a child of her own) was doing pointless exercises in third grade, I asked her teacher why. The teacher responded that she was trying to make math fun. I replied, "Math is fun. But only when your teacher understands it. Why don't you teach her about square roots or imaginary numbers? She's not having fun because she is bored. Your lessons are too easy." And she didn't even know what an imaginary number was. We cannot raise tech savvy people, when the teachers are so ignorant. Math incompetents should not be hired to teach in any school. High schools need to stop hiring the math teacher because they need him to coach basketball or swimming. We are still preparing our children for the jobs of yesterday, and nobody is going to bring back the making of buggy whips.
