  1. This lawmaker is an idiot. Many colleges give BAs in science. I have a BA in microbiology from UCLA. It was not a liberal arts major, but a a difficult major requiring calculus, over 2 years of chemistry, a year of physics, general biology and countless courses, with many labs, in my major, often in the school of medicine. I doubt this twit could have handled the biochemistry of bacterial growth. Yet despite being a rigorous science degree, it was a BA, not a BS, because that is the major my university awarded. To claim that the world existed, prior to the advent of photosynthesis, with higher CO2 levels means high CO2 is fine is ludicrous. That world was not a hospitable one for mammals, which humans are.
