Two parties, one oligarchy You keep pretending a grassroots protest, organized by students, was started by the US. Ukrainians were upset, because they voted for a man, who promised to join the EU, but instead made trade agreements with Russia. If Yanukovych hadn't brutally tried to suppress the protest, he would have remained in power. But, his police opening fire, with live ammunition, on unarmed protestors, and kidnapping and torturing their leaders to death, was too much for the people to stand.

@ProudQLD Really? Is there a written treaty or agreement, saying one country would unilaterally prevent any more countries joining NATO? Not only did the US not sign any such agreement, even if we had, we are only one vote in NATO. Russia, on the other hand, did sign an agreement to respect and defend Ukraine's border, if they were to give up its nuclear arms. Russia, not the US, is foresworn.

@joehalliday6081 Do look for the video, posted by Zelensky, with elderly Holocaust survivors of Kyev, telling the stories of how their family were murdered, and cursing Putin. They remember WWII.
