  1. The Nazis didn't kill Jews because of their faith, but because of the ethnicity. That is why someone, who had always been christian, was murdered for having a Jewish grandparent. It was racism, not a dislike of a particular religion, that resulted in 67% of those with Jewish ancestry being murdered.

  2. My great uncle and aunt also had those tattoos. They were the only ones, of my grandfather's extended family, to survive. And they never spoke of what the tattoos meant, either. It was always, "We don't speak of this." But, my aunt always cried, when she greeted me. Apparently, I looked exactly like one of her daughters, murdered in Auschwitz.

  3. Not a good comparison. The Japanese interment camps didn't kill those brought there. What happened to the Japanese in the US, was bad, but comparing the two is like comparing a stubbed toe to amputation of one's foot.
