  1. Yes, Melania destroyed the Rose garden, but it is much older than you think. Kennedy didn't create it, she merely added a bush, like many of the first ladies who came before and after her. The garden was created in 1913, by Ellen Louise Axson Wilson. Please credit the correct first lady for beginning this legacy, destroyed over a hundred years later by a foreigner.
