  1. If the officer, forced to deal with this repeat offender, is removed from his job, or if he is charged, I hope the voters vote those responsible out of office. If the criminal's understanding of English was so poor, that he did not understand "Stay in the car', he should not have been driving. And after several previous arrests, he should have known driving a stolen car was problematic. There is no excuse for failing to comply with the officers requests, running, fighting with the officer, or taking his taser. Anyone, of any color or nationality, would have been shot for such unlawful, dangerous behavior.

  2.  @Jermany84  Letting criminals evade arrest, just because they belong to a particular minority, is not justice, it is corrupt. And this was a uniformed police officer, not a vigilante.

  3. That's exactly what I always told my daughters. Comply with the police, and if it's a false arrest, we'll sue them for all they're worth.

  5.  @elijahvalenga3854  Bull. You're making lame excuses for resisting arrest. My son-in-law is black, and when pulled over, he is polite and follows the officer's requests. He's never been manhandled or arrested, because he complies. The encounter usually ends with the officer saying "Thank you sir, have a nice day." Did he sometimes get pulled over for DWB, especially in the nicer neighborhoods, when he was a teen? Yes, but it never ended badly because he was polite.

  6. How would they do that, when he was driving a stolen car, with plates stolen from a different car? Who would get the ticket? The victim of the car theft, or the victim of the license plate theft? How would fining either victim be just?
