  1. Axelrod is usually good at analysis, but failed here. Newsom did appear to break his Covid restrictions, until you looked at the photos. The fancy, expensive restaurant had semi-outdoor dining, which was within the regulations, at the time. I'm sure Axelrod, as a former Obama staffer, has eaten at places, with a price that would anger us mere peasants.
