The teens could have been attempting a B&E and then the son of the leader of the Guardian Angels and former governor maybe threatened to call the police. I don't think he was beaten that bad if he was smiling and walking the dog. I think they went to the hospital to make it look more dramatic and get the teens in more trouble. There were always girls in gangs, girl gangs and bullies in school trying to extort money from other students or demanding their lunch as the cliche goes. It is ironic that the legal system is so lax with the former head of police as mayor. He shows himself to be incompetent at every aspect of his job. I heard he spends his time partying at the clubs and was running with Diddy.

The busses aren't nice. The seats are too small and cramped and hard and facing every which way. If the busses were nicer like the big busses from the sixties, then maybe more people would want to ride. I honestly think that the subways are dangerous because they aren't well maintained. You saw water pouring through the walls during the flooding. Well, what if the tunnel bursts while you are down there? They are way too overcrowded also. There should be conductors limiting the number of people allowed on. It looks like those busses in India with people hanging out the windows. The congestion pricing doesn't hurt the luxury wealthy drivers, it hurts the ordinary drivers and the poor. Iti isn't an equitable tax. There are enough wealthy people around that there will never be a lack of cars. It will just be changed demographically to only the wealthy people can actually drive there. If trucks can't afford the tolls, that will definitely affect small businesses. There is probably a better solution, but Hochul is very out of touch with ordinary people.

They used to have booths with token clerks who could call the police if need be. They took all of them out. Maybe if they were still there, it would be better. I think having the paid musicians is annoying to some people. Those were jobs for street people, now you need a permit. Some rich elite medical student on a cello probably set off some woman who felt he was looking down on her trying to elevate her space to where she wasn't fitting in. There is a lot more stress because the trains are too overcrowded. They really didn't used to be that stuffed with people where there are seven different arms clinging for life while standing around a pole. It is dehumanizing and scary. There was always a risk of being pushed on the tracks. You need situational awareness. Most people don't develop that now, so they complain about getting attacked. More police probably won't help much. They will arrest people for doing nothing out of boredom.

When you get hired to a real estate office, it seems like they think the whole office is a team, yet everyone is pretty much out for themselves. They aren't splitting any profits unless it is like a referral agent type set up where you don't actually sell the property yourself. One office said they assign the front desk to different people on a rotating basis to deal with the buyers, but you make your money from generating your own listings, which sounds like it would be really hard. They want you to cold call people and make a bunch of fake friendships just to get the listings.

Some people don't need AC. A better method would be to enable those desperate for AC to call a hotline and then have someone deliver and install an AC to them. The landlords could contribute to a fund for this purpose. People with a lot of money might want to choose their own AC or bring theirs from another unit. It shouldn't be forced on landlords and tenants. Tenants need a break from these escalating rents more than AC.

The police are making matters worse. It is turning into schools fascist bootcamps instead of institutes of higher learning. The students and their supporters have a right to protest. The schools should be honoring that right instead of trying to control and dictate behavior to them. The administrators should be forced to watch videos on the situation in Gaza from a Palestinian perspective and then have a debate with the protestors. They should be conducting college administration in a civilized manner instead of making a war against students who paid a lot and worked hard to be there. I don't agree with the divestment strategy either. Some Israeli businesses like SodaStream made it a point to hire Palestinians at a good wage. You are hurting random businesses who might even be Palestinian themselves since there is a large Palestinian population in Israel. I watched live as the monument got sprayed. One guy popped out and sprayed and then someone slapped on stickers. It wasn't done as anything but an act of protest. They wash graffiti off of buildings all the time from what I am told. You don't need to make a big deal out of a monument that is still standing. Protesters have toppled monuments of Confederate heroes and gotten away with it.

Central Park was always dangerous especially at night. You are in a big city with all kinds of different people milling around. It isn't Disney World or a shopping mall like Giuliani made it out to be. There are a lot of dopey people who move in there and expect it to adapt to them when it is a huge city. No one goes jogging at night or flashing expensive cameras unless they are ready to be confronted. The police probably aren't there and if they were, they aren't going to be there when you need them. They are busy beating up innocent protesters against murder in Palestine.

The problem is the police with a faulty interpretation of the law. She was clearly the homeowner holding a current deed. She never rented it to anyone. The squatter claims to be a handyman holding her property as a lien with no court order. He is clearly wrong, and the police clearly arrested the wrong person. You can have all the good laws you want, if you have stupid, prejudiced cops, they are going to arrest the wrong people and create havoc. They are going to let criminals run wild as they do in NYC while innocent people are harassed and abused. NYC is turning into a shopping spree for criminals from illegal aliens taking all the public benefits and services, to squatters taking over housing, to people punching others because they want to, to shoplifters getting whatever they want for free. If these people are not put in their place, then everyone else suffers. Stop harassing American homeless for needing to sleep. That should not be what the police are worried about.

They have been doing it to old widows or a single young man who doesn't work for years. They don't want certain people in the area, they let whoever comes along take advantage and run them out. I have personally heard of it happening. They will write frivolous tickets, claim the person is incompetent, make them pay huge fines they can't afford, or ignore when someone is in the house that isn't supposed to be there. You have to keep exposing the bullies and don't let them take advantage.

The migrants don't understand that you can't rely on the US government. It is a very crooked system here where you have to fight for everything.

It is a conspiracy of the wealthy to drive the poor into the streets and do away with them. Middle class is right on the heels of the poor and working class. They are all out of a good place to live or coming soon. People don't make that much money. Bosses want to pay as little as possible no matter how hard you work. Landlords want to charge as much as possible no matter how little you make. This greedy capitalist system is eating itself alive. You have to give a little to take a little, or the whole system collapses. It can't be hoarding all you can off the backs of whoever you can. Rent control was there for a reason and it is disappearing. It is what kept the working classes housed and the people new to working a place to start. Now that is disappearing. College students will never get out of a dorm style life. They need roommates even when working high paying jobs. If there is too much luxury housing and not enough low-income housing, the urban planning is way off.

They lure them into a death trap.

No because you are still waiting for the train. They know when you are supposed to get on it. You show them the ticket. It isn't much of a lounge though. It is like a padded metal conference chair.

If someone has a Skittles box on their head or their own style of haircut, it isn't for someone else to judge them over it.
